Rugged & cost-effective, the Model DE-1600-CS Digital Elmendorf Tear Tester provides accurate tear resistance values of paper & plastic films with resolution to 0.1 gram; accuracy to +/- 0.2% or better.  Console or Software-driven, the DE-1600-CS includes a Solid-style Pendulum available in medium to high capacities including the base 1600 gram capacity, with 3200 gram, and 6400 gram Add-Weights for additional measurement capacities from a single pendulum. Meets ASTM D-1922, D-689, D-646, TAPPI T-414 and ISO 1974.

Stand-alone or software-driven tear resistance measurement couldn’t be simpler.  The Model DE-1600-CS utilizes a precision rotary encoder, pneumatic-assist sample clamps and pendulum release, an integral sample pre-cut knife, and an easy-to-use keypad interface with 4-line LCD display designed to enhance any quality control department (as shown in photo top-right).

Statistics are reported on the easy-to-read 4 line LCD display on the front panel, and the
