The Oakland RT-6000, an easy-to-operate opacity meter for single-pass light transmission opacity testing of films, paper, and other materials.

Ideal for the laboratory or plant floor, the model RT-6000 is a simple-to-use, off-line instrument that indicates relative opacity of plastic film, paper, laminates, printed packaging and other materials.  With a single pass of the light source through your material, the system measures relative light transmission on a scale of 0 to 100 Opacity Units, representing perfectly transparent to purely opaque materials, respectively.

As it helps you control opacity quality, the RT-6000 also saves you money on colorants, inks and other additives - among the most expensive components in the production of plastic film and other packaging materials.  The RT-6000 will allow you to more cost-effectively evaluate, select and adjust your use of colorants.  You can be sure you’re using just the right amount to meet your customers’ standards.
