Description
A thermostatic bath is a laboratory equipment designed to test different types of specimens in water at a controlled temperature, for a predetermined period of time. We can distinguish different types of laboratory thermostatic baths according to various requirements of temperature control and water flow.

How does a Laboratory Thermostatic Bath works
The containers that include the product under test to be heated are put inside the tanks filled with distilled water, that basically constitutes the instrument. In fact, we refer to a lab thermostatic bath also as a water bath system.

The temperature is managed by the user through a controller that can be digital or analog and can reach 100° (99.9° precisely), even if it rarely exceeds 80°. Beyond the 100° threshold, other types of baths are used (eg sand, oil, silicone).
Examples of use - the FDM Heated Thermostatic Bath
This water bath lab equipment is used for samples of various types of products, cellular cultures, reagents and substrates. 

The FDM thermostatic bath is composed of a completely electro-welded tank, which guarantees high resistance to corrosive agents and is in AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel. 

The controllers come with a digital microprocessor, for greater stability of water temperature inside the tank 

Manual water refilling and draining are carried out through the ball valve. 

The top cover and the internal shelves are in AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel.
The FDM Ultra-low freezers
FDM manufactures ultra-freezers with a cascade compression unit, fast, efficient and well-built. Below the main features:
  • The internal coating of these devices, insulated from the outside by polyurethane, is in stainless steel. The FDM ultra-low-temperature freezer is divided in internal compartments, so to better organize the different samples.
  • The shelves are easily adjustable, so to meet the requirement for different heights.
  • The solidity and insulation capacity ensure that the internal temperature is always maintained, even in the event of a power failure
  • The LCD display is extremely intuitive and provides the possibility, in addition to monitoring all parameters and alarms, to be able to record the temperature trend through a graph.
Optionally, the ultra-low freezer can be equipped with an emergency temperature backup system, that is activated in the event of a failure in the main power supply.

There are several volumes available, starting with a benchtop ultra low freezer of 100 liters capacity (small ultra low temperature freezer), to a 650 liters version.
