Technical description
Co-rotating Twin Screw Extruder :
Screw and barrel. Mad of high-grade nitride steel hardness 58-60 HRC, screw diameter 16, 20 & 26 mm and L/D ratio of 40, approx. maximum output from 5.5 - 65 kg/hr (LDPE).
- Barrel zones. 6 heating zones on barrel, all with air-cooling.
- Controller. Digital programmable set and readout temperature controllers for all 7 zones coupled to solid-state relays for accurate heat control. The controllers are self-tuning and equipped with programmed auto compensation, ensuring a precise temperature over the entire working range.
Water Bath :
- Water bath. Made of stainless steel tank with three strand rolls, which can be moved up or down individually and locked in any position along the water bath with a large turning wheel. The rolls are open on one side for easy strand threading. Modern design with steel sub cabinet and four lockable casters.
- Water circulating pump. Connected to a stainless steel tank below the water bath and with electronic
water level, which will start and stop the pump when water enters the tank. - Vacuum pump. Large size vacuum device for efficient suction of the water from the strands. Including
stainless steel strand nozzle with brush to remove some of the water before the strands enter.
Strand Pelletizer :
- Pelletizer. Modern designed full steel body with stainless steel bottom platform as well as a smaller adjustable stainless steel platform for holding smaller discharge bags or containers. The smaller platform can be lowered all the way down to the large platform giving room for larger discharge drums without removing the small platform.
- Rotor knife. Made of new “super hard” high-grade carbon steel with 20 cutting edges, shaped for precise
cutting of uniform pellets from both soft and hard strands. Fixed knife in same super hard tool steel
with two cutting edges. Easy and fast adjustment of knife gap. - Control panel. Integrated in lower body with speed control potentiometer and digital RPM readout.
- Swing door. Made of thick Polycarbonate with full view of the cutting operation. Complete double interlocked safety with instant rotor stop when door is opened. Integrated internal protection shield along door front makes it impossible to get in contact with the rotary knife even with minute door opening.
- Strand loader. Spring loaded upper Polyurethane rubber roll for smooth and even pulling of the strands.
- NEW optionally. Available with rotating and fixed knives made of stainless steel and with Tungsten carbide cutting edges for optimum life time and high wear resistance.
- Optional. Face Cutting System for PVC and Side-Cut Pelletizer are available.
